Maternity leave?

When did you guys go on maternity leave from work? I’m 6 months pregnant I’ll be 7 months in 2 weeks. Just want to figure out when should I take my maternity leave? when is best? I don’t want to work any much longer BUT I have to so I will work for as long as I can before leaving.

I put in my leave at 30w and started my leave at 36w.
But I also will be taking 11 months off. 😉

I work until I go to the hospital.  I have a desk job and never been put on bed rest so there is no reason not to keep working. Plus I want to maximize that time with baby after it’s born.

By law I have to start maternity leave three weeks before the due date, unless on medical leave or baby comes prematurely.

I have a C section scheduled for Wednesday. My last day of work will be Tuesday. I haven’t actually missed any work at all, flexed my hours and made up for any appointments
