Has anyone ever driven them selves to the hospital while having regular contractions?

If so did you just pull over everytime you had a contraction or?

Yes I did but didn’t end up needing to pull over at all.  I could still drive through them.  My sister was supposed to drive me but she was too afraid to when it came down to it (she was a new driver and a 45 minute drive) so I drove myself.  I would have pulled over had I felt the need.

I sort of did. We had to drop off the car with the car seat and kid #1 at my parents before heading to the hospital for baby #2.  I was contracting every 5 minutes and made the 30 minute drive just fine. Hubby followed and then drove me to the hospital in the other car.  My mother did the same thing when my little brother was born and she didn’t have any issues driving while contracting.   Just pay attention to your body and stay focused on the road - if you’re getting too distracted pull over!
