What does he want/mean?

I’ve been seeing this guy for almost a month now. At first I figured it was just a one time hook up and that was it. But every week he’s been taking me out to different places, staying over, and obviously hooking up more. Earlier this week I kinda hinted to what we are. He told me he’s going to have to wait and see. I kinda got upset with that answer because to me it seemed like he didn’t know what he wanted. But the whole day he noticed I was off and I finally told him why I was upset. He told me if he’s been driving so far to see me then I obviously mean something. He also told me he doesn’t pay attention to any girls...literally showed me his phone without me asking to prove it. And he told me he won’t hurt me. He even introduced me to some friends and has already invited me to go places with him in a month. Its weird because when we hang out he’s super sweet and affectionate. But when we’re both working he won’t always text me all day. It seems like we’re slowly building up to something and maybe I’m just overthinking it??? Like should I worry about the not texting me too much thing?
