Do shopping centers mop?

So I work in a cafe and I close every night, I have to sweep and mop every single night of course. Just wondering if people do this in retail as well? Has anyone worked in a clothing store or whatever and had to sweep and mop the store at night? Or do y’all just leave it.

I work in two different retail stores. We don’t mop since we have carpet. But for one of my jobs whoever opens vacuums that morning only. For my other job we vacuum at night every other night.

We do it every morning. It’s better presentation for customers. Who wants to shop at a messy place that has crap all over it’s floors?

Some company’s hire a cleaning service after hours. Some make their employees do it. It really just depends.
