Box says to let it sit for 30mins. Does this apply for roots and tips depending on which I color first? Any advice or suggestions would really help me.

Box hair dye contains metals and is truly bad for your hair. Plus the developer is too high some times, you need a 10 volume. At Sally's you can buy salon quality and they have more colors to chose from.

Well don’t use box color. Go to sally beauty and at least get a tube and developer. Second start with the shaft and end and then do you roots. They will need less time

What color is your hair? When covering gray you do the roots first.

Roots will take the color faster so depending on what color you’re going you need to do the ends/lengths first. If you’re doing like a darker color like brown it shouldn’t matter but if you have light hair you’re roots may look more intense then the rest.
