I think it depends on the situation. For me, it wasn’t really talked about. We were sleeping together (exclusively) and hanging out. We’d cuddle and talk about everything, we were best friends leading up to it. And it slowly got more serious and grew into a relationship. We started saying I love you that was that. Since then we chose a date to be our anniversary since we don’t technically have one lol
