Birth Control help

Hello everyone!! I need some

real advice on birth control I am 23

I’ve been in a relationship with my bf for a little over 3 years now and I’m considering going on birth control ( we’ve only used pull out method) but I’m worried because I have heard that it could affect your fertility as well as other crazy side effects had anyone had that happen? What is the most unproblematic birth control (the pill, patch etc...) any info will be greatly appreciated before I make a decision on this
