Contraction? What was it? (38&4) also a FTM

Around 4-5AM I woke up with intense pain.. first it started with shooting pains in my lower back on one side then it would switch to the other. Then it rapidly went towards the top of my stomach under my breast.. Lots of pressure! After awhile it went down my stomach and felt so hard. Baby was actively moving as well! This is what I was confused about because contractions last up to 30-45Secs... but the pain I was having went on for 10mins and not once I didn’t feel it stop the whole 10mins.. I’m confused what is it?
