I’ve gone through periods of being able to work and periods of not being able to work! It just depends- but I always seek treatment so I can get back into the swing of things eventually ☺️
I haven’t worked full time in almost a year, and honestly it’s been the best thing for me! Luckily my circumstances (sort of) allow it.

I have depression anxiety and OCD and I work just fine. I had to do a ton of work on myself first though. My anxiety was so bad that I would be in line at the grocery store, have panic attacks and have to leave my items on the belt and leave. It was crippling. With the help of the right meds, intensive therapy and facing some really uncomfortable moments (sitting with my anxiety and not running. Worst feeling of my life) I have gotten so much better. My issues haven't gone away but I'm able to work and live a normal life.

I'm bipolar and I manage the admin desks at the hospital wards. I left about 19 jobs in my life because I had bad bosses and so low self esteem and every time I was in a relationship that broke up, so I leave my job to take some time for myself.

My ex had schizophrenia. As long as he was seeking support and treatment from a professional, he was able to work and succeed in that work. If he let his treatment lapse, it all fell apart including his ability to work a job.

Some are and some aren't. I had a lot of PTSD attacks when I worked midnight shift with this one job. It made me physically ill to work because of it. But needed the money so I put my mental health on the back burner. Luckily only had to do it for 6 months.
