Just once id like my husband to go to a party and be the responsible one...
I mean i know it was a "pampers and poker" party to celebrate him becoming a dad, but 3 weeks ago he spent a night out at at the casino with his dad, brother-in-law and some other family friends, came home showered then went to a bar for his hs reunion and then went out again last week Saturday for a poker night followed by a bachelor party which he came home from at 1am.
Yesterday, he left to set up his party at 3:30, the party started at 5, and he stumbled into our bedroom at 12:30am drunk off his ass (his sober brother drove him home).
I dont mind him drinking or staying out late as I trust him and want him to have a good time (especially since he wont be able to as much once the baby is here), but we were supposed to go to the rennaisance festival today. We go every year multiple times, but seeing as how im 38 weeks pregnant it was our only chance this season and we already had tickets.
He woke up this morning, came downstairs (which is where i slept) and said we could still go. I originally said no bc i knew he was hungover, changed my mind after talking to my sister (whos already out there), and then changed it again when I heard him coughing/gagging and saw him zoning out as i was getting ready.
im just sad/angry that he couldnt be responsible and not get $#!+ faced drunk for once when he knew how excited I was for today.
He knows im not happy and insisted that we still go, but there was no way he was going to be able to drive the 2.5 hours there, be in the sun all day walking around, and then drive home.
If i wasnt 38 weeks pregnant, i would have gone myself.
Am i wrong to feel this way?
Am i being selfish?
I know ill get over it as i always do, but it definitely has put a damper on my Sunday.
😒🙁
