Dating advice

Guys think I’m getting close to my breaking point with this guy.! As I’ve stated before we’ve be dating months almost a year and it’s started to feel like a lost cause. Just a week ago we discussed how he disappears after 4 pm on the week days and that it bothers me. He said he’ll work on it and boom it happens ago except this time from Wednesday-Saturday night I hear absolutely nothing from him and he tells me he lost someone close to him and he misses me and loves me. Not only did I not know that he wasn’t in the state but all communication was dead and he expected me to feel bad and not spazz out! It’s Sunday night and still nothingg from him since last night . Should I give up ?
