Would you go to work tomorrow?

Hey ladies, so I work in a kitchen at a nursing home. I was diagnosed with bronchitis today. When I was leaving the doctors office today I asked the receptionist for a doctors note, she asked for what days and I told her just for today. I was telling my mom about it, (because she watches my son while I work) and she said that I should be out for 72 hours or until the symptoms subside because of the fact that I am handling food for the elderly and I've been coughing so much. I feel silly calling my doctors office and asking for them to write me another note though. What would you ladies do?
