Pleasd Help - I need advice!

Please Please read:

I was dating an intelligent, funny and witty 33-year-old Chilean guy I met in New York. I am 21. He graduated from Harvard and I never thought i'd like him as much as I did but everything he said made me laugh or stimulated me mentally. My nerves would kick in when around him, which never happens to me with guys. His busy schedule meant we would go a while without speaking, but would always make plans to converse. When I was having a rough time, he took the time to talk to me and make me feel better. I am different than last year because of all of my insecurities from specific events, but he always made me feel confident. He reminded me to love myself.

We are not seeing each other anymore but I wish he knew me now in my healthier state of mind. I have never been so intrigued by a guy. His passion, honesty, wit, patience truly grasped me. I cannot get him out of my mind. He was the only guy in my life to inspire me.

In March, I was supposed to visit him. He was texting me a week and a half before my flight, saying how much he was looking forward to see me. But I had not heard from him a week prior to my flight and did not think anything of it. I emailed him before my plane took off and his brother sent an email 10 minutes before lift off, saying that he got in a motorcycle accident in Chile. He said he was fine and needed surgery but that he could not be reached bc the doctors wanted him to rest without technology. I panicked and believed it because I cared for him. He was always so honest and took pride in that so I had no intention of doubting the story. But now that I have not heard from him since March, I am confused because I never got closure either. He never called or emailed an explanation.

Do you think this was all a made up story or that something bad actually happened to him?? And if you think it was made up, please help me come up with why he would do that. We really liked each other...I jusy need some advice. I have dated other guys since but he is always on my mind.
