Do you think people of different ethnicities feel weird or wrong doing voices for cartoons of different ethnicities than themselves?

This all started when I was trying to figure out if Bob Odenkirk or will Arnette was playing the voice in the DreamWorks children's series "Baby Boss: Back In Business" (it wasn't either of them, lol) and I looked at the rest of the cast.
And one of the characters (also an original character in the movie) was voiced by a notable, man of color: Kevin Michael Richardson (Cleveland show, the boondocks) though the fat baby in the movie was voiced by a white male then voiced by a male of color on the series so to keep things similar I understood keeping the fat baby white. 
But then I was watching:  The Guardian Brothers (an animated movie about a mother and her child depicted to be of Asian descent) voiced by Nichole Kidman and Bella Thorne, respectively.. along with other notable white people.. and I was like huh... That's odd. 
Then I was watching Planet 51.. and Dwayne Johnson was voicing a completely white astronaut..
Now I get it these are animated films and I'm sure there's more examples to pull from than the ones I've listed.. but this also leads me to another question: 
What about when they hire actors to play in movies with missing limbs and stuff (and the movie is specifically based on the person not having certain limbs) and they cast actors with all of their limbs... 
I feel like there has to be great actors and actresses that would have loved to play these parts and done an amazing job at it.. but yet they cast other people for them who have their limbs or they don't make their characters look like the actors doing the voices of the characters.. I just find it kind of ridiculous.. like there was no reason they couldn't have made the astronaut look like Dwayne Johnson or have women and men of Asian descent voicing the characters in the movie the guardian brothers. I can understand the boss baby situation because the fat baby in the movie was a white guy voicing him to begin with..it's just wild to me. 🤷‍♀️

I don't think so,  they are actors. Some might see it as a challenge to portray  someone they aren't.  Same as with regular movies.

I mean, take The Simpsons as an example. There’s like 3 or 4 voice actors that do voice-over for dozens of characters. There’s nothing wrong with actors portraying other races. From a production cost standpoint it makes the most sense.

No its just a job do what your getting paid for then get out.. if a actor has a issue with I I doubt thay will take the job

In the Disney live action version of beauty and the beast it really bugged me that they had actors doing fake French accents, most noticeable Ewan McGregor as Lumiere. It turns into a mocking parody and that's just not okay.
I'm not saying that there has to always be complete correlation between the animated and real actors ethnicity, I think a really good actor can do a great job. 
But it is a very hard thing to get right.

At the end of the day voice acting is a job, and a lot of them are just trying to make a paycheck. If you've got a versatile voice, why not put yourself out for as many casting calls as possible?
Live action is a little different. If you cast a white person (with absolutley no Native American in them) to play the historical role of a Native American then yes, I would find issue with that. 
On the flip side of that, if it was something like Peter Pan where they cast a white girl to play Tiger Lilly, that's not as much of a big deal to me. That's a director's interpretation of a story. We only have a book to go off of there, and we don't know what the indigenous races of Neverland look like via reading unless it is heavily described. 
Disney made an interpretation that their tribes would resemble Native American tribes, the next guy who took on the story didn't. 👾 A lot of that stuff is subjective.

No Voice actors, are actors. The voice has to match the character and not the other way around. I'm a big Cree Summer fan most know her as Susie Carmichael. A lot of female VAs voice young boys Rugrats and Timmy Turner...😊

I guess if it bothered them they wouldn’t take the jobs. Unless the cartoon characters were changed after voicing was completed and the characters race wasn’t evident from the script and the actor/actress was under contract so they couldn’t opt out. Some movies/shows do change voice actors when being released in multiple country’s to better represent that country’s race or accent which helps sales. Usually popular actors/actresses are picked for movies despite not matching the race of the cartoon character for sales as well. I find cartoon shows will typically match voice actors with the cartoon character better. Usually because the budget is small.
