Cake baking tips? Any bakers on here ?

I’m planning on making my daughters birthday cake next month. I’m not a professional but I’ve watched some videos on YouTube and it seems doable. 
2 tier, all white decorated with real flowers. I like simple and elegant. 
Question: for the cake to look good, how tall does it need to be and how wide for the best ratio? 
Here are some pics of inspiration I got from google. 
(Last pic is a cake I made for home, just for fun and practice, it was my first time using the tool that makes lines)

I'd say an absolute minimum of 4 layers to get that first look....
The 2nd, it's hard to tell. It could either be 2 smaller round layers or 4 larger round layers.  Hard to tell exactly how tall/wide it is to eyeball it..

Kinda sloppy, but I did it for practice. The outside cream is “pastry pride” I used a spatula to create the lines. Definitely learned a few things making it. Like what NOT to do when the event actually comes around lol 😂 my first tiered cake EVER!!!

Each tier should have 3-4 layers depending on how think your layers are and what kind of filling you’re using (some fillings are thicker than others.  I’d also recommend buying a cake leveler (Wilton’s makes a good one).  It’s hard to level cakes off.  To get the definition between the tiers, I’d use pans with a 4” difference in size (a 6” and a 10”, 8” and a 12”, etc).  If you’ve watched some videos, I’m sure you’ve been advised to cool the cakes, level, crumb coat, refrigerate, and then do final coat.  The crumb coat and cooling properly are super important.
