Commit or not to Commit?

Need some advice. My boyfriend of 3 years has made our future life plan that I am not entirely thrilled with. He wants us to get a house in the next two years, then maybe have a kid or two, and then get married.  If I average this out, it may not be another 5 years or so until marriage. I am 34 and always believe in marriage first. I am nervous about this plan and I shared my feelings with him. He claims he wants to wait because of my large student loan debt and low credit score. What else should I do to convince him marriage first?

I say not to commit. If your student loan is the reason to not get married now and will not be paid off soon... You will still have it in five years as well as a home loan and possibly a child/children.

If you don’t want to do it that way, don’t. If she’s concerned about your student loans, it’s not a good idea to be adding children and more expenses before you can afford them.

Buying a house and having children are all things that will cost more money if he’s concerned already about your student debt and his low credit score. Unless he’s concerned that he’ll have to take on the burden of your student debt if you guys get married... the order doesn’t seem to make sense to me either.

Yeah definitely don’t live your life according to someone else’s plan. And he wants to wait to get married because of your student loan and low credit score but he wants to get a house (only his name on it I’m sure) and have kids. Nah this man is a mess

Tell him you want to get married first. He can’t just make plans for the two of you and expect you to follow them if you don’t want to. In a relationship you need compromise. Alsoa

Seems like he wants to get you guys stable in a home for you and kids. Also you're 34 maybe he's thinking that you guys wait longer you won't be able to have kids. 
His credit score can improve. 
I'd love to have a house for my kids before I had them.

Of that is his excuse... I'd bail. Marriage is far more important than debt.you vcsn still work the debt while being together while married... It DOESN'T take rocket scientist to figure that out! If he really cared what your dreams are he'd make it happen in the order you want... He's laid out the plans... Why not he be reasonable.
