Opinions please?

So iv seen these all over lately and I’m just wondering if anyone’s had this type of thing ? And how safe they are? I’m due Christmas eve so I know it’ll be cold coming home around that time 
and obviously the following couple of months after when he’s newborn and just want to keep my little prince toasty and warm but obviously safe!!

Personally this looks like a pain in the ass I would look into one of those car seat muffs that goes over it and doesn’t interfere with the buckles

A lot of aftermarket products are not safe to use with car seats. This looks very unsafe as it adds a lot of cushion.

Nope, not safe. When you’re in the car I don’t recommend using anything other than normal clothes (no big jackets), and when you’re outside you can either use a regular blanket or one of those winter car seat covers, like the one in the picture below, that slips on like a shower cap. Nothing should go between the baby and the car seat, especially while driving.

Completely unsafe to have anything in the seat that it wasn't crash tested with. You may drape a blanket over after baby is secured properly.

Anything that didnt come with the carset shouldn't be used like that or toys ect. Drape a blanket on legs I think that should be safe and just layer babe up!

When you're outside throw a blanket over the car seat then take it off in the car. Much easier than any cover. My son was a January baby and a blanket worked just fine I would cover the whole seat when I had him outside then take the blanket and put it on his lap in the car seat while shopping or riding

I looked at this when I was expecting but I just decided to use an ordinary blanket over him when it was cold, it's a lot less hassle and doesn't interfere with the car seat itself

I would just put a blanket over their legs. That top bit looks like it could easily fall onto their face and the other reasons people have stated
