Preemie Baby?

Question

Hi, i am 31 weeks, and my doctors don’t think i will make it to 35 weeks. I have an incompetent cervix, and my water has begun to leak. We are hoping to keep her in to at least 33 weeks. 
If you had a preemie baby, or know one, please share the story. I need tons of hope. 
Also, babies born between 31-35 weeks, how long is the NICU stay usually?

Preemie mama here! 
I went to my normal 31 week ob appointment, she sent me due to high blood pressure.
They didn’t want to take him at the time so they kept me in there for a few days to monitor my blood pressure and the baby. I finally got to go home and have my baby shower. A few days after my baby shower I’m back in the hospital. 
Two days later in the hospital they are getting me ready to have him. My blood pressure was getting worse, his heart rate was dropping.
They induced me, but I was only 3 cm and they needed to get him out right then and there. 
So I was off to the or to have a c section. 
He came out at 32 weeks weighing 4 lbs 18 oz. He was breathing on his own. He only needed the heated lamp for the night. Then a week after he was switched to his crib and off the feeding tube. 3 weeks after we got to bring him home. There were still complications. One night he stopped breathing, so he had to be rushed to he hospital. We spent 4 days there. He also had 2 hernias that needed to be removed. So he’s been keeping me on my feet lol.After all that he was just fine.
He is now my handsome 2 year old💕

My baby was just under 34 weeks when she was born. My water broke and there was no stopping it - I had her within 24 hours. I was told they like to keep baby until they reach 37 weeks which is full term, but she was super healthy and NICU stay only lasted 10 days. She’s 14 months now and you’d never know she was preemie, 50th percentile and right on schedule for milestones. Best of luck, you and your baby will be in good hands!!

One of my best friends had a 31 weeker in April, no signs of premature labor at all until contractions started and couldn’t be stopped, she was born 3lbs 14 oz and was in the nicu for 4 weeks instead of the usual 6. She was only on oxygen for one day, had a feeding tube in for 3 weeks but they still breastfed, and she did so much skin to skin with her mama! She’s now 3 months and 8 pounds and thriving!! Always have hope ❤️ we always want them to stay in as long as possible, but preemies are truly warrior babies!

I had my daughter at 34 weeks due to preeclampsia. She stayed in the nicu for 7 days due to fast heart beat but other than that she was healthy. She's a healthy 5 year old now full of energy.

they should be able to give you medicine to prolong labor. they usually keep babies in the NICU until when their due date was supposed to be.
