Baby shower dates?

So I know we are all still newly pregnant but has anyone thought of when to have your baby shower? I’m a planner and I just keep thinking of when will be the best time. I’m personally thinking early/mid November because of all the holidays and I want to have my nursery ready sooner rather than last minute when I’ll be too tired to do anything.. what are you guys thinking??

Just had this discussion with my mom last week and we decided on mid January. Only because the holiday in November and December and October is too early. I’m due 2/21.

My mother in law and one of my best friends are planning  mine and I believe mine will be early December, do your best to avoid holidays but trust whoever can be there will make sure they are there , don’t get too wrapped in who can’t you know? Early November as my family has birthday’s in December and January. They pretty much take up every weekend that’s not a major holiday. I think having everything ready before the holidays will put you at ease and not be stressed come January.

We aren’t finding out the gender, so we’ll have a shower after he/she is born. I’ve always liked that idea of doing it after anyways, gives people a chance to meet babes. It just feels like a boring ole gift opening otherwise, which I’ve always found to be a kind of weird premise for a party.

We were thinking November or early December
It’s hard with all the Holidays. 
Have had a complicated first pregnancy and several miscarriages so we don’t want to wait until January since were due feb 2nd and who knows what could happen. 
That gives a little time to plan and leaves the last couple weeks stress free.

I’m not due until Feb 24th. So, I’m thinking mid January. We have the holidays and I was already planning this big 40th birthday party for myself in January- how my little peanut is already changing my plans.

Never had a baby shower for both of my children and so I don't think about it but I say to you have it in January as so many people will just be worried about Christmas period and buying things and January is ok as things get back to normal then

I feel like with the holidays, November/December are really bad times for a shower. We'll probably buy the big stuff ourselves for black Friday though

Honestly my mom mentioned it the other day but I don’t have friends so I highly doubt I’ll get to do the baby shower fun
