I’m 38 weeks 4 days pregnant and I was wondering if y’all had take the Castor oil with orange juice to help dialated ir contractions??

Nadda. Doesnt seem worth the risks or incredibly painful diarrhea. If you want to try anything stick to evening primrose oil.

It causes strong diarrhea which can stimulate contractions, which may or may not lead to actual labor. It is dangerous because it can also cause your baby to pass meconium in the womb, which can be very serious, risking their lives. If baby isn’t ready, nothing works but time and patience. Your baby already knows when they want their birthday to be :). As long as you and baby are healthy, let them show you the date they’ve picked!

I wouldn't risk it with castor oil. Just too scary and not worth it

Midwife says it’ll 110% cause diarrhea and you don’t start it until at least 40 weeks. BUT you need to do it supervised. If you’re not effaced or dilated, doing so just causes you grief. Her words, not mine... and I’ve no interest in doing it myself but may have to come week 41 if she’s not here. It’s one of those last resort things.
