So my bf and I are pretty “free spirited.” We have p tough skins and play around in vulgar ways a lot... like well flick each other off and know it’s a joking matter - but tonight we were just joking around saying he was a dick and him saying I was a b & then all of a sudden he says I’m a cunt & I just HAD to stop. Like wtf. Maybe it’s my fault for allowing this dumb vulgar playfulness to go on, but I cannot stand for anyone calling me a c*bt. And he never even apologize for it. All he said was “sorry I offended you” which to me isn’t an apology. Ugh. Thoughts?

I wouldn't put up with anyone calling me out of my name, or sweet things.

But in the situation you’ve described, where you’ve both deemed it acceptable to call each other names, I don’t think he is in the “wrong” here. Some people don’t draw a big line between the b word and the c word. Others do. So unless he knows the c word is where you draw the line, then I don’t think you can blame him.
