Please explain the upcoming medical changes ?

Today, I was informed by the receptionist at Ft Sill that as of Oct 1 Tricare is no longer but something along the lines of defense medical care (I can't recall exactly what they said the new title is) will replace it and as far as they were informed it changes a lot of things for the active duty dependents. The crazy thing is everyone I know that are dependents said they nor their active duty spouse have been informed of anything. Not the name change, coverage change nothing . Even my husband is shocked and we all feel like we're sitting in the dark on this topic. What do you guys know or what have you heard?

Additionally, I was told Ft Sill is working on making the "health clinic" (hasn't been a hospital in 5 years) solely for active duty only meaning that dependents have to go off post for every thing... Pcm, behavioral health, etc. This was said to be a Ft Sill thing only though due to being in a financial hole. We are Prime and anything not available we get referred out such as OB, orthopedic etc. We, dependents, just use pcm/pediatrician, mental health and pharmacy. This was Another thing no one was aware of other than its been rumors for years, but also rumored to restore Reynolds as a fully functional hospital. We are so confused so I'm hoping to find someone with insight or verifying information. Where else does one go for that anymore lol. Thank you!
