3 month old already needs a hair cut?

My son was born with a full head of hair. I thought like most babys he would lose a bit of it and then it would grow back. Well I was wrong, it just keeps growing. It's in his face and covers his ears. Should i cut it soon to make him more comfortable. It's also hot here and his hair is so thick he sweats on his head all the time anytime we leave the house. I love his hair and I dont want to cut it but I know it cant be comfortable especially in this heat.
