How to react?

We told my stepson he’s going to have a brother and he’s really excited. My husband’s ex continues to say nasty things to us about the baby coming and I can only assume nasty things to my stepson. I don’t mind personal attacks on me because I can brush them off but I’m having a hard time holding my tongue at the nasty things about my unborn child. I’m not sure how I should react or if I should even say anything.

She’s doing it because she wants to cause strife and get a reaction. Don’t give her that satisfaction.

Shes an ex for a reason. Dont let what she thinks or say effect you! Who cares?! Just let it slide and realize that shes like that cause shes a jealous b*tch and dont feed into it, don't give that any of your energy!

I am sorry that has happened to you. The only thing you and your husband can do is include your step son in on this journey. Only say positive things to him about the baby.It is going to be his sibling and the ex has to understand that. This is bigger then any drama, and a baby is a huge thing. Especially it being her son's sibling. Only put positive vibes out there!!! I've been there girl , it sucks but prayer comes a long way!! Once that babe is here everything changes💜😘

As much as it sucks and as hurtful the nastiness can be, be the bigger person and do not respond. I know it’s so hard to hold back emotions (especially during pregnancy), but just know your step son will eventually realize things one of these days. I know from experience most of it stems from jealousy. There unfortunately isn’t anything the can fix that besides time. I will say, not saying anything will open the possibility of building a better relationship down the road. Kill them with kindness and maybe, one day, things will be better.
