Okay, I'm currently 30 weeks pregnant. My mom is planning a wonderful baby shower here where we live and I'm very much looking forward to it... Now my husband's side of the family lives 3 hours away, so I figured earlier in my pregnancy that it would be nice if I also had one down where they live. I told my mother in law that her, her mom, and her sister (my husband's nanny) could do all the planning and I would just attend.

1st thing: They have hardly done any planning AT ALL. I'm to the point where I'm really not banking on it even happening.

2nd thing: I'm due Sept 27th and my mother in law wanted to schedule the shower for Sept 7th or 14th. I tried explaining to her that I did not want to have to make a 3 hour car ride almost 40 weeks pregnant, with 3 other kids already in the vehicle, and tried telling her I would rather have it mid August. She then tried making an excuse about "renting a hotel room". And said again that she was thinking of having it on the 7th or 14th. She completely ignored what I said so I just didnt say anything after that.

Well, I find out earlier today through my sister in law, that they have planned it for Sept 1st. SIL and I have been talking and Ive repeatedly voiced that I did not want it that close to my due date, but literally NO ONE IS LISTENING TO ME!!! I'm so fed up and my husband is upset because he knows that its stressing me out. My mother in law is acting like its her baby shower 🙄🙄 My sister in law and I even joke about it being "Sandy's Shower" because she continues to ignore my ONE request about it.

I dont want to be ungrateful, and yeah I said they could plan it, but can they seriously not accept my one simple request?? Am I wrong for not wanting to make a long trip being so pregnant? I'm just so fed up I had to rant...
