What do I do?
My heart is breaking.
My sweet 9 year old blue heeler had a very aggressive cancerous oral tumor removed last fall. Three days ago I noticed a sore in her mouth where the tumor was. It’s in a weird spot so it’s hard to see. Well it actually looks worse than I thought at first. Today the vet says it’s very likely that her cancer has returned. We are having it biopsied tomorrow but the vet is fairly certain that it’s the same cancer.
I’m having a baby in October and can’t afford another $3000+ surgery plus chemo on her. (She’s had 3 surgeries in the last 8 years totaling almost $10K) And there’s a chance it could still come back again. But if I don’t do treatment I know I’m going to feel soooo guilty. What do I do guys? It’s so hard to imagine letting her go because besides this tumor, she’s super healthy and active 😢
