Wedding invite 2 weeks after baby is due. What are my chances?

Question

So my Husband is best man at our friend's wedding on Halloween night. Sounds like such an awesome day and I would absolutely love to go! Thing is, baby is due 17th October and I'm likely having another c-section booked for that week.
What are my chances of making it to the wedding? 
I have no idea of the logistics of being a new first time mum in those early weeks, meanwhile recovering from a section. Is it being totally crazy to even imagine I could go? I just feel so bad sending Husband on his own!
There would be a hotel room for us to stay in the venue so part of me thinks that would make it a bit easier but I can't help but think i'm being too ambitious!! No idea how to RSVP to the invite.
Anyone any thoughts?
Added info: I would be bringing baby of course! My Mum would take her for the night but I think 2 weeks is too soon to leave her side!

I wouldn’t even attempt going especially with a c section still healing! Babies go through a growth spurt at 2 weeks and she might be cluster feeding every hour!

I’m not having a c section but my baby is due about 2 weeks before my best friends ( I set them up) get married and I’m one of her bridesmaids. I will be going and so will my little guy we may not stay the whole time but they are ok with that I just can’t miss being there for them on their special day

I wouldn’t travel, but those are my own personal feelings. My husband was a groomsman in a wedding two weeks after my daughter was born. I had a C-section and was feeling okay at that point, but was glad I didn’t go. They wouldn’t allow kids at the wedding (aside from flower girl and ring bearer) and couldn’t understand why I couldn’t just leave a two week old baby at home with a sitter 🙄 I would ask the bride and groom their comfort level and maybe plan to go for a bit during the reception? It’s totally up to you and how you feel. At two weeks breastfeeding isn’t fully established yet and newborns are definitely not on a schedule, so there’s a lot of unpredictability.

my brothers wedding is 2 weeks after my due date and I am in the wedding party. I am hoping everything goes smoothly and I will take bub and just leave the reception a little bit early to take him home.

This is such a personal decision, so go with your gut. With all my previous kiddos, we have jumped back into activities and even travel shortly after they are born. Some people call me crazy, but for us it works well and it’s enjoyable for us. Keep your expectations low and recognize things may not exactly how you envision they will, but I say go for it!

If you're having a c section so close to the wedding date is be inclined to just send hubby alone. I know it sounds like a good time but you should really be resting. After both of mine, my doctor even said to try to avoid going up and down the stairs at home for the first few weeks as much as possible. So I can imagine dancing, standing around, or anything physical might be pushing it for you. Personally, I'd stay home, but maybe you should ask your doctor for their advice.

I’m kinda in the same boat. Friends are getting married on Halloween and baby girl is due oct 1st... they say she’s welcome to it but it’s about an hour drive away....  I hate to miss it but we will have to do what’s best for baby girl

I wouldn’t feel comfortable not being by my 2 week old’s side. That’s just too soon. Plus, having a section is major surgery and you may not be able to move around easily.

I had a friend who had a similar situation. They hired a caravan for the night and parked it outside the venue. The grandmother and baby stayed in there and the mum popped in and out to feed.

Two weeks after a c section, I would say you could go for a couple of hours but probably no longer. You’ll be so tired. The longer you’re up and about at that time, the weaker and dizzier you’ll become. It’s not impossible, but I definitely couldn’t have done the whole wedding.
