Coffee and breastfeeding?

I am so afraid to go back to drinking my morning cup of coffee and risk baby getting caffeine and ruining our great bedtime routine and streak of sleeping well at night! Any moms breastfeeding and having coffee? I know very little crosses into breastmilk but they also metabolize caffeine MUCH slower than adults so I really dont know

I drink a cup of coffee every morning. Usually takes me 3 hours to drink it and it gets cold. Ut I drink it. Doesn't seem to bother my daughter at all. She sleeps great during the day for naps and st night.

I have been drinking more since breastfeeding as opposed to being pregnant. While pregnant I only drank one cup a day but now I usually drink 2, sometimes 2.5. I have a 3yo as well and with baby waking me frequently at night, I needed the extra caffeine. She still sleeps well. We go to bed around 10pm and she wakes at 130/2am, 430am, and then 8ish.

I stopped drinking it. I felt like it was making him gassy. It sucks cuz I had it everyday while i was pregnant. I need it!

I make myself decaf and drink maybe 2 cups on weekdays, and then on weekends my husband makes regular and I have one cup. I've never noticed a difference in my baby's sleep.

I’ve had coffee many times already and I was afraid it was going to make my baby act crazy but it had no affect!

I LOVE coffee and I continued to drink it during my pregnancy except during the first trimester. I went from one cup a day to drinking three to four cups throughout the day and sometimes a soda now. My baby is sleeping 8 hour stretches at night and naps well throughout the day. I did the same with my son and he was sleeping through the night at 12 weeks. I think it just depends on your child.

Drink it early in the morning and it won’t effect babies sleep! I make sure to pump before I drink coffee too so that way if I need to feed a bottle I know there’s not caffeine in it.
