First IVF consult... already feeling discouraged.

I’m on my way to see a new doc about IVF treatment and I’m really nervous about the appointment only bc I’m afraid that I will leave without any confidence that IVF is going to work for me.

I did 6 IUIs with a different doc and had 4-5 chemicals so I know that everything up to implantation can work but IVF doesn’t solve the problem of chemical pregnancy (or like whatever happens after implantation) does it?

I tried progesterone, baby aspirin... I’ve added a few supplements since my last IUI to improve egg quality.

I also have an inflammatory autoimmune d/o which may be part of the problem. Who knows?

I want her to have the answers but also know it’s probably a guessing game. After 6 IUIs, multiple chemicals and a prior miscarriage of twins I just don’t want to go through a failed IVF cycle but who does?

Any advice on what to expect at this appointment? My last doc was pretty unhelpful and couldn’t care less.
