FMLA question
So I had a miscarriage and D&C at the end of April, which was my very first pregnancy. I have had 3 cycles since (currently on cycle 3). I am really wanting to try for our rainbow in the next month or two. Just trying to determine if it is best to wait until September or to try after my AF ends, this cycle. The reason being is that I started a new job April 22nd of this year as well. It is a really great job and I definitely want to keep my job after baby is born. Therefore, want to plan it so when my baby is due and I take FMLA it would be 1 year of me being with the company (as this is the FMLA requirement). If we try this cycle, my baby’s due date would be around April 26th, so just barely at that 1 year mark, given the baby wouldn’t come early. So my question is, do we wait it out until September to try again or go for it this next month? I am eager to start a family and so ready for my rainbow, but just so unsure with all the job regulations. My company also offers short term disability as well, so not sure if I could take that prior to FMLA kicking in or how that works? Also, could save my PTO and take some of that if baby were to come early prior to FMLA kicking in. Furthermore, they do offer person leaves of absence if you don’t qualify for FMLA I believe, but just want to make sure my job would be protected also. Any insight/recommendations would be appreciated!
