Style consistency?

Do you think it's important to name all your children using the same naming style? For instance... I named my first child "Thea", which is a bit more trendy. But for baby number 2 I'm leaning towards a much more traditional name "Edward". Do you think it sounds weird to have one kid with a modern trendy name and then another a super old school family name?

Thea is a very traditional, “old fashioned” name! I think Edward goes perfectly with it.

My husbands family had a trendy name and then 2 old names!
They’re all adults now, and I can honestly say this is the first time I’ve ever thought about it 😆

I think Thea is an older name. Older names are trendy now. I love Theadora but hubs says no lol We have a son named Grant and hope to have a daughter someday named Scarlet.

Thea may be trendy now, but it's actually a really old name. I say give your children names that you like, that have meaning to you. They don't need to go together.

Definitely similar style. If one was Edward and the other was something super trendy or misspelled/made up sounding, then it would be weird.

I don’t think it matters. My name’s Erin, which was pretty popular around the time I was born, and my sisters name is Lucille (she goes by Lucy), which is super old fashioned. We both fit our names, though.

I think Thea and Edward are of the same “old” or “traditional” naming style. I personally think it’s important. I wouldn’t want a son named Bob and then a daughter name Periwinkle  or something crazy like that lol. We like unisex names for our girls so we’ll keep that same trend going. But that’s just my opinion.

I think those go great together!
I definitely don't think a tight style needs to be kept between siblings. But I do think it's possible for sibling names to seem very unbalanced and to clash. Like naming one daughter Arabella and the second daughter Ryan. I think that would be unfair and awkward. Or like naming your sons Michael and Alcazar.... also awkward. 
But outside of that kind of extreme cases, I think style alone doesn't matter. Especially not the sort of thing you're talking about... I wouldn't even register those as being different styles. They both sound traditional to me.
