Baby’s leg swollen after shots??

My son had his 15 month check up yesterday and he received some shots. I just noticed this tonight and I know swelling is normal but it looks like it’s not exactly where the shot was? Could this be from the shot or maybe it’s like a spider bite or something else? I don’t know it’s like a red bump you can’t see the swelling too much in the pictures

This for some children is a normal reaction to vaccinations. Don't be too surprised if he starts to run a low grade fever. You also may find that even after the swelling for down there may be a knot at the site of the injection.

My son had a horrible reaction to his tdap vaccine. His whole leg swelled up twice the size, he ran a fever, and was miserable. I took him back in to the pediatrician to make sure it wasn‘ something more serious. In the end he just needed some extra love, Tylenol/Motrin, and fluids. Within two days the swelling was completely gone. It’s normal for some babies to have reactions. If it gets worse I would take your little one in, but for now try meds, a cold compress, extra fluids, and just lots of love! 💕
