Pacifier?

I am trying to decide if I should get my daughter a pacifier. She keeps putting her own hands in her mouth which I know is normal. She keeps also trying to put mine in her mouth. She will wake up from a nap after only being down for a few minutes and will want to nurse but will only for a couple of mins so I think it’s just a comfort thing. That’s why I am considering a pacifier. I just don’t want her to be dependent on it. I never had one as a child and neither did my brother so I have never thought my child would either. She is starting daycare in a couple weeks and I am wondering if this would help comfort her.
