Why is he so confusing🤦🏾‍♀️ do he still like me

So I met this guy between February and March and to make it short me and him became friends but he started talking about me to my best friend and I’m like what did he say. So my best friend told me that he said I’m cool and I’m awesome and I said aww that is so sweet😅

But when me and him starting to get to know each other I told him that I have a boyfriend and he was kept saying at least you have a boyfriend, at least you’re in a relationship and I’m thinking why did he keep saying that but two months later me and my ex boyfriend broke up so I’m back on the market and I was keeping myself occupied so I wouldn’t get distracted. To make Everything short I found out that he likes and he always talking about me to my best friend but then he told my best friend that he was over me and I was like what why

Turns out I guess he hinted that he likes me but I didn’t take the hint so I’m like oh okay dang. To make everything short again I told him I felt and he told he wasn’t sure if he was interested and I said okay no problem

But turns out that he still is talking about me and I’m like why🤨 so I asked my best friend and he told me that he doesn’t want to date but still thinks I’m attractive and I’m like it’s whatever I haven’t talked to the guy in 4 months about to on to 5 and it wasn’t important but I still kinda like him

So me as a girl I found him on Instagram and I’m what’s the problem I can follow him on Instagram right? So I sent a requested and I don’t know if it was a bad decision but I already sent it🤷🏽‍♀️

So what I’m asking is do he still like me or is he just confused.
