Dry orgasm

Last night my husband and I had sex and everything seemed normal and he went to finish and orgasmed but nothing came out. We were so confused. Has this happened to anyone? We looked it up and all I could find was a few health conditions and then retrograde ejaculation. Which is when the semen goes into the bladder instead of out of the penis. He’s probably going to see a doctor just in case but I was wondering if this is common?

Edit: he was at work all day so unless he jacked off at work. But I doubt that. I will ask him and see.

We use the pull out method and he said he felt like he did but we didn’t see anything come out at all but yet he had an orgasm.
