„You always look so happy“

I work as a support worker and dropped off one of my lovely clients who’s got learning difficulties at her day centre. When I entered I greeted the people there and one of the ladies who works there told me „It’s nice to see you. You always look so happy. It seems like you’re never sad.“

I just smiled and nodded and said „yes almost..“

The thing is that I’m really going through the worst time of my life right now and I cry myself to sleep almost every night. I’ve relapsed into my eating disorder and substance abuse and I’m always feeling depressed or anxious. It shocked me how good I am at wearing my mask everyday. If they only knew...
