My boyfriend said I love you too me for the first time!

So he called me out of no where and said “ I love you” it was so cute. At first I didn’t say anything back because we always joke around with each other a lot ( especially about serious stuff ) so I kinda just brushed it off, then I asked him if he was joking or not and he said “ no, I meant it” so then I said okay well i just wanted to know I love you too. And then we talked for a couple of hours and then he had to go. Then I texted him as soon as the call ended and I texted him “ I love you good night”
