18 year old having sex with a minor (16)?

my mom wants the guy i had sex with who is 18 arrested for having sex with me ( a minor at age 16, now 17). just out of curiosity has anyone had there parents try to do the same thing? what was the outcome? reply's would be greatly appreciated. i live in california where the laws seem to say that it is one year in jail??? is it even possible for them to arrest him without me giving a statement or admitting it to the police?

EDIT: the proof she has is his nudes and many texts of me talking to other people about it and also me and him having multiple conversations about it.
