Am i being selfish?

I just found out im 4 weeks and 3 days pregnant yesterday. In my marriage this is our first baby. Im cramping in places im already vomiting like crazy. I told my husband last night and hes so excited he wants to make love. He asked again this morning. I told him baby right now... thats kind of not what im thinking about. I apologized to him. I feel like im being selfish because i never tell him no. Am i thinking of myself?

You are throwing up and cramping...pretty sure if that was happening to him he wouldn’t want to either. Not sure why you think you’re being selfish at all.

Yes but in a good way. It wouldn't be pleasurable for either of you if you were feeling like garbage or you guys had to stop because you got nauseous. 
Explain how you're feeling and let him know you'll have celebratory romantic time when you are feeling better.

The word selfish is absolutely misunderstood. Thinking of yourself is by definition selfish, but that is what every person needs to do in order to have a healthy self-esteem. If you don't take care of yourself, who will? Thinking ONLY about yourselfw and disregarding everyone else around you, that's the negative kind of selfish that people usually mean when using this word. So yes, you are being selfish, but in a healthy way - the way that you should. It's sweet that your husband wants to make love, but he'll just have to find other ways for now to feel close to you.
