I was so nervous bringing the new baby home because my cat, Jerry, has been our only baby for the past couple of years. I did a little to try and prepare him, like introducing baby items and smells, but admit I was so tired from pregnancy I didn't do as much as I should or could have.

Thankfully he's indoor/outdoor so he always has an escape when he wants it, but he's been slowly checking out the little one for the past few weeks and this morning he came in to snuggle me in bed and did this. I decided it was worth it to give up some sleep to supervise, so he got this positive contact time with her. I'm getting so many heccin' cute pictures out of it too. I'm so proud of my good boy. 😊💕

(Don't worry, her face isn't pressed against that wall. It just looks like it from the photo angle. She likes to sleep there, close to that wall, but I make sure she has plenty of room for air.)
