I Need Advice

I'm 18, about to go off to college and yesterday I went on a bike ride with one of my closest friends. I didn't tell my boyfriend because he really hates this friend (that coincidentally is a guy that also happens to be my ex). This friend, I've known for years and when we had dated, we lasted a month because we realized we were much better off friends. I've been with my boyfriend for 9 months, and he still doesn't like my guy friend.

Back to the story, my bf found out about my bike ride and how I lied about it. But I lied because I didn't want him to get upset. I tracked my route with my fitness app and showed him. But he thinks I cheated on him with this guy, when there was literally no time and my location was on the streets.

He said I had to pick, between my bf and my friend who I love as a brother. I chose my bf, but I'm sincerely beginning to question my decision. This morning he asked me to block my friend and send him pictures, so I did. That was hard.

I need some opinions on this situation. I know I fucked up by lying, but... Do you guys think I picked the right person? I hated having to choose, and I don't know what to do right now. I'm going off to college in a couple weeks and my bf goes to another school so we won't see each other. We weren't planning on doing long distance because he has a severe jealousy problem and he'd be driven insane by the distance. So

I need to know if I picked right, regardless of the fact I shouldn't have picked. And any other opinions or comments would be helpful
