Get HCG levels taken or no?

I had a miscarriage back in Apr and now pregnant again. My doc said I could get my HCG levels taken if I wanted to see if they are rising normally before my first appt. Curious what people think about this... what if they’re not normal? Can anything even be done or Would I just sit and wait? Is it just a peace of mind thing? Conflicted over whether I should even do it....

For me I would check because I would worry myself senseless not knowing where I was starting.  If the levels dont rise then I have an understanding of what to prepare for..but that is just me. I would check.

Going through a miscarriage is scary and fortunately blood work is how they follow it. So I can understand the hesitation about wanting to get bloodwork, but it could also give you peace of mind knowing where your levels are.

I had them done with both my pregnancy for piece of mind.  Ask if they will check your progesterone that one is important to.

Nothing can be done, I never got my levels check because I knew it was out of my hands anyway 🤷‍♀️ but if u think u will get peace of mind then go for it 😁
