Am I ready for sex?

Since I was 8 years old I've been a sexual person. I'm extremely comfortable with my body and have no shame when it comes to sex related topics. I'm 15 years old and not currently in a relationship but I know I will probably be in a relationship with a guy that is older than me who is not a virgin. The only thing holding me back for sure is what other people might say. What do you think?

At the age of 8, sounds like some sexual assault happened that you don't remember. I have always been a very sexual woman, even at the young age of 11. I finally got the guts when I was about 16 to ask my mom if I had ever been molested or anything like that and turns out I had, by my uncle when I was 3.

Don't listen to anyone. I lost my virginity when I was 15, and he lost his to me too. He was 15 as well. Now we're both 18, engaged, living together & expecting a baby girl in February.

Sexuality is genetic and shaming people for it is why we have so many issues with it today. It's okay that you were sexual at 8 years old because that's who you are. Sex is an act where you have to be not only physically but mentally prepared for what comes after. When you have sex you create an emotional bond and if you're not in a serious relationship then you will be heartbroken and it will be extremely difficult to get over. Don't jump the gun, you have plenty of time.

8 is really not that big of a deal. Everyone is different. If you feel like you are ready then find someone you trust. Don't just do it to do it or because he wants to. Do it if you want to. And once you do, there is no point to regret it. As long as you had fun at the time and nothing bad comes from it, don't regret it.
