I had my baby five weeks ago. When I had told the father about my pregnancy he said he wasn’t ready for kids and didn’t want any. After I had the baby he said he still wasn’t ready for kids but if I ever needed anything to let him know.

Well now he messaged me asking if I was sure the baby was his to which I said yes. He said he wanted to know for sure so I told him he could go ahead and get a dna test. I sent him a link to a site that offered dna testing. He told me that one was fine but never offered to pay? I’m not sure if he expects me to pay or what, but I’m not sure how to ask. I don’t think I should be the one to pay, because I’m not the one that wants the test or is asking for it. I’m sure he’s the father, but obviously he says he wants to know for sure which I 100% understand. But if he’s the one asking for the test after he said he wasn’t ready for kids in the first place, shouldn’t he be the one to pay? I’m not asking him for anything. I’ve told him I dont need money for child support and I don’t expect anything from him. But if he’s the one that wants the test I feel like he should be the one to pay for it . Am I wrong ?

I know we’re both the parents but I’m not the one that is asking for a dna test to prove he’s the father nor do I need it . I’m fine with him not being involved in any way or form , so I feel like if he wants it then it should come from him. Thoughts?
