I'm in a relationship with someone who has a child with another woman, but the longer I'm with him the more I realize he isn't ready to be a dad again. He doesn't feel the need to bust his ass and get a job to buy his child diapers (so his parents do), he will sit and play games while his child is running all over the house and getting into stuff, and he constantly asks me for money for games, food, etc. It's like he doesn't understand that I am busting my ass working to save up for the things that I want and need, and he thinks he can have the immediate satisfaction of putting 0 work in but still getting everything he wants. I try to kindly urge him to spend more hands on time with his child, and very rarely give him money when he asks. Should I wait for him to learn these life lessons, or is it hopeless?
