2nd round clomid follicle scan

We had our cd12 scan today.

We have one 14mm egg in the left ovary and a 4cm diameter cyst in the other ovary which the doc said might effect our chances of releasing the egg, doc says if the cyst is still there in 3 weeks she wants to surgically remove it.

I guess what I’m asking is has anyone been in this situation and can you please tell me what happened. Both the good and the bad. I want this to work so bad, but I don’t want to get my hopes up if there’s no chance it isn’t going to work
