Induction stories

So at my 37 week appointment, dr brought up induction at 39 weeks. I’m seriously considering it because hubby only gets a couple days off of work and we can kind of plan around that for one. For two, my first was almost a 9 pound baby and they’re thinking baby number two will be the same if not bigger. I haven’t been checked since 35 weeks and at that appointment I was 1 1/2 cm dilated. Im trying to get the pros and cons of doing an induction because I want to be prepared but honestly I’m over being pregnant. I know the dr wouldn’t suggest or bring it up unless they were ok with it. So for those ladies who have had an elective induction, how did it go and would you do it again?
