Getting food stains out?!

Mamas!!! I'm so tired of throwing away my baby girl's bibs and onesies because I can't get food stains out of them!!😡 what do you mamas recommend?!

Why do you throw them out though? Like if you can't get the stains out... they're babies. Does it really matter that much if they have a spot on their shirt? Seems like such a waste to me.

Wait? You throwing out bibs because of stains?! 🤦🏼‍♀️ That’s the whole point of them! As for the onesie eh if you can’t get it out then who cares? You know it’s clean and they are just going to grow out of them anyway but why would you be so wasteful and throw out something just because of a stain? They’re  babies! You’re about to spend a small fortune if you continue with that because It’s only going to get worse. What a waste.

Grandma's Stain Remover. You can find it in Joann's, usually by the check out lane. I've never tried it on food stains because my baby is only 3.5 months, but it got out her poop stain that had been washed in several times and i've used it on blood stains, comes right out.
I usually use a spray and wash on the spot first mostly just for the moisture and the bottle of grandma's stain remover squeezes out like a thin gel and I use the tip of the bottle to scrub the stain, then wash and done :)
It's in a light yellow bottle with a blue lid!

Well, I hope you're not literally throwing them away. Besides being expensive and wasteful, textile waste is having a detrimental effect on our environment. It's a serious problem. I hope you at least donate them- lots of mamas (like me) aren't bothered by stains. 
BUT to help with the stains.. I've had really good luck with Bac Out and Ecos Oxo-Boost. Immediately after stuff gets on the clothes, I'll spray on the Bac Out so the fabric is saturated and then I'll try to get that clothing washed within 24 hours. If I can't, I'll just go back and spray the spot again regularly so the fabric stays damp. That keeps it from setting. I wash everything in COLD water (heat sets stains, cold doesn't) with a scoop of Oxo-Boost. Then whatever is stained gets dried outside in the sun. The sun is serious MAGIC at getting stains out. I've literally gotten black stains out of white clothing with the above method, and even had success fading old set stains (they won't come out entirely but they fade significantly). If things need further treatment or the clothing in question is white or the stains are older, I'll skip the Bac Out step and do a soak. Cold water in the tub/sink/large bowl and some Oxo-Boost, let sit overnight. Then wash like normal. Hope this helps!

White vinegar mixed with water and soak them. Then wash as usual. Also as I read someone else say having a bucket handy to soak them in just some water straight after to help get things moving along helps too. I also have oxiclean that helps also but for the tough ones vinegar and water usually does the trick

Nothing works like Ariel+lemon juice+baking soda. Leave it a couple of hours and then wash it normally in the washing machine.

I use a shout stuck as soon as they get something on it... Pull it right off rinse it if and use the stock on both sides of the shirt and let it go.... Usually pulls everything right out

My one year old gets food stains on everything and I’m able to always get the stains out by using shout and scrubbing at it with an electric toothbrush. Then i soak them in the sink with oxy clean overnight. Voila

I love spray n wash max!  My son has a bright white shirt that has just been getting more and more stained over time and I soaked it around the collar in that stuff before washing it the other day and it got almost all of the set in stains out!  It’s not back to original white, but these were months set in.

I always keep a small bucket handy to soak my son’s clothes in water before I can treat/wash them. Your best bet is to prevent stains from drying, so I try to change my son’s shirt or pants as soon as he’s done eating if he gets stains on them, then put them in the bucket with water until my next load of laundry. For berries and most fruit/vegetable stains , hot water is your best friend. For treating stains I use Baby OxiClean stain soaker or Grandmas Secret Spot remover.
