Missed a midwife appointment. Will I get in trouble?

I know it sounds childish but will I get any kind of red flag go off for missing an appointment? I've always been to my midwife checks but I had to cancel today's because of an emergency and I don't want it to look like I'm not a fit mother or anything like that

I slept through a midwife appointment before (it wasnt even in the morning but I fell asleep halfway through getting dressed 😂) as long ad you call and reschedule you're fine.

It’s ok just make sure you let your midwife know why you didn’t make it to the appointment and schedule a new one. I haven’t been to any of my appointment with my midwife from 6 weeks pregnant & I am 34 weeks now but that’s because I went on holiday and ended up in hospital in my country and I wasn’t allowed to fly or take any car drives longer than 4 hrs. I came back 2 weeks ago when I was told that my pregnancy is progressing fine now and it’s safe for me to come back home :)

As long as you stay in touch and book another one in soon you’ll be fine. If you repeatedly miss appointments and don’t engage then they would start to worry... but only after the third time or so
