Why would ovulation be the day before a positive OPK?

This whole month is very strange for me even Fertility Friend is confused.. Tested positive on CD14 (which is earlier than my usual) and by cd15 it was fading. Fertility Friend just put ovulation the day before my positive opk and changed my expected AF back by 5 days...

Because you had a big temp spike which happens after ovulation. It looks like you ovulated earlier than normal. I bet if you tested cd12 and 13 you would have gotten a positive opk too

You have 3 elevated temps that are higher than the 6 before and that confirms ovulation. 
I agree that if you tested before then you would have gotten a positive opk.

Did you test before cd 14? You probably peaked the day before and ovulated then, and the positive on cd 14 was the residual hormones. So you probably did ovulate cd 13. If you don't get pregnant this cycles, start testing at like cd 10 to make sure you catch it! I normally get a positive opk on cd 13, but this month was odd and I got it at cd 11! It's a good thing I started testing at cd 9 to catch it!
